Help with Eibach/Illumina Rear Install

I've bought the Eibach kit and the Tokico Illuminas. I've done the front with no problem but I'm having a problem with the rear. For those of you with this setup, what are the correct part numbers? I have 6350.002 on the springs (came in kit 6350.140) and BU2943 for the struts. The problem I'm having is that I can bolt the top hat down without even compressing the spring. Do I have the right parts?

Hmmm. You might want to double check part number w/ Eibach. I had to compress my springs when I took my Eibachs off.

You have the correct Illumina part #. Ammi's right, check the part# on the Eibachs. However, on many of the rear springs it's common to not need to compress the spring to get the tophat on. Remember, once the car is lowered on the ground the spring will completely fill the perch.

yeah i would say thats fine as well. i could take off and put the top hat on without using the spring compressors for the fronts and rears.

I had to compress my Tein S-Techs when installing them. S-Techs are shorter than Eibachs too. Might want to double check your part number for Eibach springs.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm pretty sure that I have the right parts based on the reply from housecor and my phone call to Eibach, who were very helpful by the way. I was told that I'll have "minimal preload" with that spring. I found that I could run the top bolt all the way down to the end of the threads and there still wasn't enough tension on the spring to stop me from rotating it on the perch. Eibach says that's OK. I'll give that a try.

Thanks again....
