Well...mine never shook when I hit the brakes. But it did jitter when it reached 60MPH. I took it in, had it checked out, and I had a slightly dented front passenger side rim. Got that fixed, and the problem went away. Same thing happened to my cousin's 02 GLE. Same solution worked for him.

You live in Jersey, and I know Jersey streets are everybit as ****ty as NYC streets. Hit any bad potholes or bumps lately? I suggest having your rims looked at.

Most likely, you just need your rotors resurfaced and new pads. If you're under warranty, the dealer with fix it.

sounds like you have warpted rotors. Get them resurfaced and might as well replace your brake pads too.

Now the whole car will shake when I get above 60mph. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. Dang thing has a mind of its own.

Okay cool, the dealer is supposed to fix the warped rotor issue! I just started getting this problem at 17,800 miles.

100% warped rotors. Do not get your rotors resurfaced..OEM brakes suck. change the rotors and slap on new pads. Mine did the same thing. I got the rotors turned...after 6k miles..same thing. save your money and get new NON OEM brake equipment. I would go with brembo rotors.

Yep, same here. Started at ~15k. Dealer resurfaced the rotors and 5k later, I got the same problem. I'm taking it in again and asking for new ones. I guess it will be Powerslot ones if I cannot get them replaced for free.

The dealer resurfaced my rotors free of charge. Maybe if I make enough noise I may get them replaced for free the next time around. It is an old malady in the 5th gen Maximas (there is a related TSB out there) and the dealers know it.
It really comes down to how serious and professional your dealer is when dealing with customers' issues. Warped rotors in ~10k-15k is not normal. I did not have to resurface the rotors in my '93 Escort GT until ~50k-60k miles...
