So is this over kill for foglights?

Do you think that this would be overkill at 40mils thick for foglight protection???

There is no such thing as overkill on fog light protection. If this works then it will be the first that has. I have thick 3M fog protection (32mils?)on mine and one has been busted since.

what is a mil? do they mean millimeters? 40 millimeters? that is thick ie 4 centimeters which is like almost 2 inches thick!!

I believe the plastic lens housings used in the 00-01 are smaller than those used in the 02-03.

the 2k2+ are glass? never knew... my plastic ones turned yellow and still cracked...

40 Mils = .040 inch, on a standard ruler approx. 1/16"

I have 40 mils on my headlights and foglights. No discolor and most people don't even see it. So far so good - been on for 2 1/2 years.

No problem. I would never use anything less than this on the foglights. Its tough stuff.
