What is a good price to get JUST THE STILLEN LIP painted?

I want to get an idea of what it should cost and what is considered a 'fair' price...

Dude do you want to shat yourself?? I just had my stillen aero kit painted and installed and it cost me $1300. He quoted me 800 but then when I got the bill it was 1300. So just get the estimate in paper before you hand the parts to the shop!

WOW....You guys all paid ALOT! M1 Autobody quoted me $175 for just the front lip painted pearl white. i would install myself. When i had 01 prelude, i got the Wings West RS full lip kit, painted for $300 triple layer paint and WingsWest installed it for $50. Iono, to me paying over $400 for whole kit paint and install seems kind of steep... www.m1autobody.com They are award winning paint job. check out www.illmatic.com. M1 did paint job for almost all their show winning cars.

yeah m1 gives out resonably prices and they also do a good job.. but honestly 400 bux is still a fair price for painting a peice made of poly urethane. because they have to prep the plastic with flex-all and what not. illmatic has alot of nicely done up cars, i'm friends with two of the members and they always get stuff sprayed at m1.

I should get my car back tomorrow from the body shop, I had the MT lip and Stillen Sides/Rear painted and installed for $389. The price is more than fair IMO. This same guy did both my girlfriends lip kit and my Preludes Wings West RS kit. I'd say to paint and install a front lip no more than $175.

hahah yeah. i didn't mean to direct the 400 dollar comment towards u, i was just agreeing with u that m1 does good work.

for all others:
labor in CA is generally higher. if u wanted to get that lip painted in norcal around the bay area, u'de expect to pay more than 400 for a decent job. but down here in so cal, look for something 400 and below. make sure they sand the lip down and prep it real well before they paint it. i've heard some places just kind of sand it down and paint it as is. there are pinholes and what not that need to be covered or minor blemish. if the lip wasn't prepped right, the paint will eventually chip off with time. also, try to look for places that have guaranties against paint chipping and what not. another good investment would be a custom 3m clearguard over the lip since i'ts so low to the ground, alot of rocks would chip the paint away with time too.
