I've got a small rip started in the left side of my seat. It doesn't seem to be getting any bigger, though. I keep telling myself I need to take the Max to a leather shop and have it mended so it doesn't get any bigger.

wow, that sucks. I had a 1998 Maxima that I just traded in 18 months ago for my 2003 SE...it had no rips in the leather w/nearly 70,000 miles on it..

Is your car garaged during the day?
Are your windows tinted?

both of those would prolong the life of your leather. sorry for the "to little to late" advice.

Garaged, tinted windows, sun shade, Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner fairly regularly. And I'm only 185 pounds.

How much would it be to bring it to a leather shop. Im starting to notice new small cracks on the passenger seat, and i have about an inch size tear in driver seat, i need that fixed.
