Heated Side Mirros? Can I do it?

Recently my car was vandlized at school ( yeah it sucks, i know). However, I found a pair of side mirrors rather cheap. They are heated. I didnt have heated mirrors or my car in the past, my question is, can I just plug them in and have them work normally as heated mirrors, or will me plugging them in blow some fuses or something?

I also remember reading the how-to. it involved using the rear defroster which turned on the heated mirrors. i looked in the stickies but i didn't find it.
