Brake caliper paint

I am going to be painting the calipers and would like a few recomendations on which brand of paint to use. Im thinking of going with G2 Manufacturing Inc (silver or gloss white), are there any better brands.

G2 is one of the best because of its epoxy base mix. Ive got that on mine and you will not be dissapointed.

I have mine painted with Foliatec, and after 2 winters the paint still looks awesome.

The G2 paint is very similar and cheaper too.

Just painted my calipers and rotor (face) with a kit by Dupli-color/w ceramic coating. It's available in SILVER,BLUE,BLACK and YELLOW. I used the SILVER, looks super against gun metal 17's with 7 spokes rim on a Grey Lustre 01AE. Was very pleased with the results. Kits comes with 1 spray can Caliper Decreaser/Masking tape/ Stir stick/Brush and Small can (paints 4 caliper). The caliper just absorb the paint as I apply, very quick to dry. Hope thi

I paid $13 or $14 for the kit. Very inexpensive. Using High Heat engine...is not the same as this caliper kit. When its apply by brush...the metal of the caliper absorbs it better.

I used the silver G2 kit as well. I have pics on my webpage. I bought the kit from www.wheelskin.com
I believe it is around $40.00 shipped.

Did you guys take off your calipers when painting? Also, is there a time limit after you open the can of paint to use it?

No TIME LIMIT on paint, Initially I did take the first caliper off. But decided I could do just as much with the masking tape. I purchase the kit from Auto Advance(formerly Trak Auto). I've seen it on the web for much more. I'll send pictures tomorrow, before and after shots.
www.autobarn.com has it for $29.95, check your local autostore.

It took me the whole afternoon. Once I got started, the small brush really allows you to paint the caliper and not make a mess, steady hands...just taped off the areas I didn't want painted.

Highly recommend the G2 kit. Painted my 300zx calipers black and they are very shiny and look powdercoated. It goes on very thick.
