So I leave my max at the dealer on tuesday.
I called them that afternoon and asked for the status on my car.
They are like they are looking at it and they are going to replace parts. It should be ready wednesday.

So wednesday I call them around 2. Oh we had to order a part and won't be here till thursday. The install on this final part will only take an hour at the most you should get your car by thursday morning.

This morning I get a call. The part hasn't came in yet. Maybe we will get it in this afternoon.

Another call. The part won't be here till Friday.


1 week without my car. Oh well at least its getting fixed.


Oh with the new tranny... Do i have to break it in again?
any suggestions?

I wanna get my car replaced under lemon law and pick up a 2002 SE-R max if they make it... otherwise Sentra Spec-V

As far as needing to brake the tranny again... well I think the way you drive it you could do it YJ ;D

 

Is the entire tranny being replaced or just the shift solenoids? I hope there wasn't a break in period or something on the shift solenoids....I tested them out right away

 

Yeah these guys take forever. Took my car in on monday, took them a day to figure out that it needed a new clutch. I told them that when I brought it in. Anyway they ordered all the parts, and one part is on back order and it won't be here to till next friday (mar 29). and then it's gonna take them at least another day or two to replace the clutch. At least I got my car back till the parts come in.

 

Has anyone had their car in for repairs and not had some part on backorder?

Yes, the dealer ordered a new Bose CD player for me since mine was squeaking. I had it replaced a month ago and It wasn't back ordered.

 

so far none of the parts have been back ordered at Round Rock Nissan.
