HID in Fog Light Problem

I'm having problems installing HID's on my 2k1 fog lamps. Everytime I place the H3 bulb in lamp and turn the HID's on, I get a ticking sound and lights won't come on. I believe the bulb itself is touching the metal inside the lamp causing it to short and not work. Has anyone with a 2k-2k1 have success installing HID's in fog lamps? If so, what procedure did you use?

it's probably a ground issue or a defective kit. have you tried the kit with the bulbs outside? like just put them on a bench and test them with a 12v source.

yes it is touching....u need to stick a screw driver inside the foglight and push the reflector forward just a little bit.
