OEM keyless remotes

I just bought an 03 Maxima and I need another Keyless Remote. I have seen a lot of keyless remotes on ebay for $10 or $15. Are these keyless remotes on ebay legit? Is there anything that I should be on the look out for?

Thanks

I don't know about those remotes, but I do know you will have to get them programmed at a dealer. That is where the cost is high.

Where do I find the FCC-ID? According to the people selling these on ebay they come with instructions on programming them. Are these easy to program like the 4 Gen maxima's?

I bought a key and remote from there and had the key/fob programmed at the dealer for $40
If you need to program just the fob, you can do it yoruself for free!

FCC-ID is written behind the remote.

The remote can be easily program by yourself but not the key!

Remote = 5-10 min max to program here.s how:
1.Get in & lock the doors
2.Insert the key into the ignition 6 times within 15 seconds
3.Hazard lights should flash
4.Put key back into the ignition & turn to Accessory
5.Press the master door lock (on drivers door arm rest) unlock/lock
6.Hit the lock button on the remote
7.Hazards should flash
8.Pull key out and open the drivers door and then close it
9.It should be set

Done this on my friend 1997 and just work fine!

I have a remote for sale - brand new - never used from my totalled 03 maxima - remote should work with any Altima/Maxima & all infiniti i believe from 2002 model year & up - as long as FCC ID matches - then it's all good

If you want - i'm selling it for $20 + $1 shipping to US
E-mail me (pillpusher84@comcast.net) if interested

I bought one off of Ebay. It came with instructions and works perfectly fine. I would reccomend doing that then buying one at the dealer. The only thing you might not like is that it is used but still looks fine.
