I need input from 02-03 Maxspeed spring owners
Hey, I am looking at purchasing a set of Maxspeed springs. From your experience, do these springs require a camber kit to maintain an even wear on the tires? Also, what is the real world drop I could expect after the springs settle and how is the ride afterwards?
I will not be purchasing shocks/struts yet, probably in a few months (gotta pay of the rock I gave my fiance first).
If I don't install them myself, any ideas on how much it would cost to have them installed?

No camber kit required with Maxspeeds. Just get an alignment done after a couple of weeks. Mine needs one know cause it pulls to the right. My car sits at 26 2/4" F and 27" rear. Install should be around $120-170 but remember, if you install on stock struts and then get aftermarket struts, you are going to have to pay the same amount again.

No camber kit needed here either. I just installed some maxspeeds and gr-2s last weekend and will align the car this weekend, but it doesn't noticably pull either direction. If people running teins don't require camber kits you have nothing to worry about.

I had the Maxspeeds before. The ride quality wasn't bad, but the drop wasn't enough for me. Tons of people would say, "with those 19's, you should drop it."
Still, they're great springs, just like H&R's but 1/2 the price. If you have the option, make sure you buy the 2nd version of them, which are progressive rate.

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to wait and get the struts before I install anything. Do you need a spring compressor when replacing the strut/spring assemby as a whole?
Any recommendations for struts? I looked on eBay and something like the GR-2 ($270 - $310) or Tokico blues ($300 - $350) seem to be the best fit for me. Are these prices reasonable or should I look elsewhere? I just want better handling on the street and a more agressive look without shaking my kidneys loose!
