Car Bra

I have a lot of chipped paint on the front of my car and i was wondering if anybody has a car bra on sterling mist paint? And how much it costs...does anybody think it would look good on my car?

I have a Nissan bra I bought from Courtesy Nissan. They look really good. You just have to take them off when it rains. They run about $100.

Yeah I have the bra only to cover up a rock chip that's oh about 4 inches in diameter. Looks horrible. But when i get the front bumper repainted (hopefully the fenders and hood) i'm going to put 3m's clear bra on.

Clear bra won't look good over rock chips. If you want a clear bra, get hood fixed first. Clear bra = kinda spendy. I love mine, and the headlight protection.

Hey housecor, any idea how long those clear bras last? How easy is it to remove if you need to replace? I'm just wondering if they might start yellowing or something over time.

I recommend a Colgan Custom high speed bra. It has a 5 year warranty but they last much longer if you take good care of it.

Warranteed for 5 years if you go with invinca shield:
Invinca-Shield, Inc. warrants to the original retail purchaser, that our paint protection kit is free of manufacturing defects and will provide “outdoor durability” for a period of five (5) years from the date of application under normal exposure conditions.

I've had mine for 6 months and have no issues so far. Still very clear. Many on autotopia use clear bras and suggest using a plastic polish from time to time to keep it clear. I've only heard one complaint of yellowing, and I'm not sure what brand he was using.

I paid $123 for the 2 piece bra and $31 for the mirror bras. I bought them directly from Colgan Custom. I had a LeBra many years ago on my 89 Max. It was too thin for me and would ballon at highway speeds.

Hey, anyone know where I can get a bra for my anniversary edition. It seems like noone makes one and am wondering what I should do since I have the spoiler on the front.

That's exactly what I have on my 2k2, although mine is Carbon Fiber.

Do you have to take the Colgan off if it rains? And what if you are driving and it starts to rain then what?

Cool. I don't think the CF was not out when I bought mine. I like the looks of it though.

You need to remove it after it rains to dry it. If you're driving along and it starts raining, you don't need to do anything until you finish your trip and then remove it for drying. You can dry it with a terrycloth towel if you don't want to air dry it. I have left the bra on my truck wet and it has not caused any problems.

You can only tell its CF from upclose; even then, it requires a double take.
