So the car was running great.
Got it home.
Had to go run an errand.
On my way
my car goes boom crack and then a huge loud bang.
Now it won't go past 2nd gear.

I called the dealer.
they are sending a tow truck

Actually... ANOTHER new tranny... well.. the one they replaced mine with was rebuilt... so I'd assume they use rebuilt trannys in most of the repairs.

Is it just me or do rebuilt Nissan trannies NEVER hold up?

I would demand a brand spankin' new tranny or a new car.

I would say "since it's obvious that you guys can't see to rebild your own transmissions, put a new one in there".

 

YJ just get the level ten tranny rebuild if you have the money that is....totally new...without the vb the tranny rebuild is above around 4300-4500...so its $$$

if i didnt have the VB done already i think i would've gotten a new stock tranny from nissan and just gotten a supercharger

 

for that price i would just trade it in for a fully loaded 2k1 5 speed

 

Here's the deal.
I'm getting another new TCM another new shift solenoid, and they are giving me a "new" tranny.
They have no clue what the problem is.
that's another 3 days in the shop...
Looks like i will be driving the a6 this week
at least that thing is a 6 speed

 

Hmmmm..... I'm wondering..... did you do any neutral drops after getting your car today?
