Upgrade Y2K HEADLIGHTS TO 2002 HEADLIGHTS (HIDs). Is it possible?

I want to upgrade my "old" headlights to a cool looking 2002 HIDs. Now they are sold cheap on Ebay and they are brand new, in box, not the stollen ones...

Is installation the same? Will it fit without any problems?
Would I have to change any connectors/wires?
In other words - how difficult it is?

Thanks

You can convert it but you would need some electrical know-how to do it.

I was considering purchasing them from a local junkyard. They have two busted 03 Maxima's there and I made them an offer on the headlights. They are supposed to get back to me, but where could I find the wiring harness and mounting brackets. I used to work for an electricial so I have no problem doing the wiring, but does the harness come with directions?

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=24009-A33HK has the wiring harness. Or you can go to your local nissan dealer and get one. And it does not come with directions. You would need a write-up from the wire connection. If you do get the HIDs, send me a pm and I'll send you the write-uo.

never used them, never missed them, never could have guessed there was something there other than the plastic panel for the ballast.

you don't *need* the brackets.

unless you are talking about the data dot reccal which adds brackets mounting the headlight to the frame?

Not the data dot recal. You don't need it but makes it little harder for you to remove the headlights. I want my headlights to be in there as secure as possible.
