Exhaust poll

OK, I am deciding which cat back system is best to buy for my 2000 max, and I want everybody's opinion. If you have an aftermarket exhaust system, vote for or against it depending on if you like it or not. Also, please let me know if you noticed a power gain when you installed it. If I forgot your exhaust in the poll, just post your comments.

Hotshot Headers

Your probably better off saving some money and getting the HOTSHOT HEADERS with Y-PIPE for $599 and then getting a match of a CATBACK from CATTMAN for $275 with either that muffler or a nice OEM Match with the POWERTECH 1011 for $99. You can always start with the headers, save up some cash and then get cattman and then finally get the muffler.

Heres are the photos of the headers, y pipe, cattman catback and powertech muffler.

Yeah I want headers and y pipe, but they arent street legal since they eliminate the pre-cats. Thats why I didnt do that, though I know that is probably more power gain than cat-back.

Possible

I believe its possible to pass inspection as long as you have the Main Cat still on the vehicle. Just have to make sure the vehicle is nice and warm when getting it inspected. Not sure though, I thought I read something on this and thats what they advised.

If you want exhaust, I would get cat back Greddy. Little quiter than HKS rear section.

Those headers aren't emission legal tho, that's what I hear..My friend told me that he had a 01 Maxima auto trans dynoed with a place racing cai, and Greddy evo exhaust, and the car actually lost some hp (dunno how much exactly) due to the greddy evo..

You might lose low end but you should see gain near top end. Never heard of losing hp due to Greddy exhaust.
