Garage Opener Buttons on Visor

Could someone give me the procedure, or the link to instructions on how to set the garage door opener buttons on my visor? (I lost the original instructions).

Thanks in advance,

Bill

1) Clear all channels by pressing both outside buttons at the same time. Hold until red indicator light blinks rapidly (about 20 sec.), then release.

2) Program the button you want from your transmitter by pressing one of the visor buttons and the transmitter button at same time. Red indicator light should blink slowly (programming mode).

3) Continue holding visor button and transmitter button until red indicator light blinks rapidly (this may take 1-30 sec.), then release.

4) If visor button is programmed right, the red indicator light will blink rapidly for 1-2 seconds.

On mine I also had to press the program button on the garage opener to get the visor one to work after initial prgramming. This is just a heads up in case it does not initially work with just programming the visor button.

Unfortunately, like RUIZGARCIA, after it seemed to program successfully, the visor button didn't work (I assume because of the rolling codes). In fact, I called Sears tech support and they said because of the rolling codes it might not work.

Does anyone have a workaround to make it work??

Rolling code garage door openers which are “code-protected” and manufactured after 1996 may be determined by thefollowing:
• Reference the garage door opener owner’s manual for verification.
• The handheld transmitter appears to program the HomeLink Universal Transceiver but does not activate the garage
door.
• Press and hold the trained HomeLink button. The garage door opener has the rolling code feature if the indicator light
flashes rapidly and then turns solid after 2 seconds.
To train a garage door with the rolling code feature, follow these instructions (the aid of a second person may make the
training quicker and easier):
1. Locate the training button on the garage door opener motor head unit.
Exact location and color of the button may vary by garage door opener
brand.
2. Press the training button on the garage door opener motor head unit
(which activates the “training light”). Note: Following step 2, there are
30 seconds in which to initiate step 3.
3. Firmly press and release the programmed HomeLink button. Press and
release the HomeLink button a second time to complete the training
process. (Some garage door openers may
require you to do this procedure a third time
to complete the training.)
The garage door opener should now recognize the HomeLink Wireless Control System.
The remaining two buttons may now be trained if this has not previously been done. Refer
to the Programming portion of this text. The HomeLink Wireless Control System (once programmed)
or the original handheld transmitter may be used to activate the garage door.

The instructions are also located in the owners manual.

2 people? I just ran from the garage to the car, and back to the garage.. it was real fun!

I had two of the three in use, one for the house, and one for my parking spot downtown...
