SES Error Code P1320, ADVICE?

2000 GLE @ 68k miles

P1320 is a primary ignition signal code

I went to the mechanics 2 weeks ago and he told me the same error code.
He changed the relay and condensor . Don't know anything other than one part was $30 and the other was $50. SPENT $200 last week.

This morning my SES Light came on again with the same code. I took it to my mechanics and scanned it today. The error reads P1320. He is not sure what it could be. He said to bring it tommorrow morning to do a more thorough analysis , i think he said DYNO.

Please respond quick to this email because i am taking the car to the mechanics early tmrw morning. Please advise me before i get royally screwed by my mechanic.
Are any of you familiar with that error and how was it resolved.
THANKS!

P1320 is the code for the Ignition Coils. There are 6 of them, three just under the engine cover and other three are a little way back further. Probably just one or a couple failed, but to be on the safe side just replace all six of them (Nissan has issued the updated model number). The dealer will charge around $500 to $600 for the coils and replacement work. My advice is to get them from David Burnette (DaveB) for $306 shipped and install them yourself. I think there were instructions with pictures at http://www.nissanx.net/tanman/ but it doesnt open right now.

Dave's number is somewhere in the FAQs.

Oh, and the mechanics were just wasting your time and money.

p1320 iz a pain in the ****

could the p1320 have another problem other than ignition coil?

maybe crank shaft?
Can someone list out the possible cause of p1320 error?

In the future, go to AutoZone and pull the codes yourself for free. You dont need a mechanic or dealer to do that. Then find the TSB's relating to the code and try and fix it yourself first.

I actually changed spark plugs 8k miles ago. I don't need to change the spark plugs again if i'm changin the coils do I?

Do you guys reccommend changin all 6 coils or find out which coil is busted through the resistance test and el cheapo it out?

DaveB...i've heard so much about him? contact info? website? HOW DO I ORDER FROM THIS GUY?

Is there anywhere else I can get the ignition coils for cheap. ONLINE or STORE?

I just wanna know my options.
Let me know. THANKS

I just got this code last week from the dealer and they wanted $510 for coils. I hit the classified section here and found Twiller(sp?) and he has Nissan updated coils for $250 shipped. I ordered my spark plugs from Dave B.

$317 and change for coils and plugs.
