Brakes are really bad, need help

I'm extremely poor and can't afford buying new rotors and pads for a while. On the highway the car shakes really bad at speeds over 50 and if I hit the brakes it feels like the steering wheel is gonna come off. My question is can I just have the rotors turned or resurfaced for now? and about how much does it cost? Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can resurface the rotors but its gonna cost about 100-150...
and it is pretty dangerous to have rotors in that condition...
contact maxedup or Automax_95 .. they sell rotors at a reasonable price...

good luck

Sounds like the first thing you need to do is get your wheels balanced.

If you take it to the dealership to turn them maybe. I get my rotors turned for $10 a piece.

I agree with Jaws, Balance the wheels first, that will cost between $20-$40. You can take your rotors off yourself and get them turned at the local shop for next to nothing. Better yet, get new Brembo Blanks shipped to yor doorstep by Automax_95 for about $190. But I guess that all depends on your definition of poor!

Do you mean when you apply the brakes at speeds over 50 or your car just shakes at speeds over 50 while driving?

Brembo doesn't make rotors for 2k2/2k3 Maximas.
