Weight reduction on 00-01 max???

anybody know of any ways to reduce weight on early 5gen max? i just recently got a 00 se and was wondering if there is anything that can be done....beside removing spare tire of course...it's definitely heavier and less nimble than my old 98 se..

.. cheapest and easiest mod is for you to loose some weight..lol..

car wise... take out the back seat?
you want to go more advanced?
Carbon Fiber hood, Under Drive pulley,
ligther rims..
you can even get a CF trunk...

the lighter rims will do many wonders for you. other than that everything else was mentioned earlier. just be careful not to get a flat tire after stripping your trunk of the jack and spare (like i did )

I wonder what a gutted out Maxima would do, I mean to the same degree of stripping as that sentra got. The whole story behind that article was- the car was a factory car, and after the factory gets done with their testing on it, it has to be junked. It can't be resold to the public, one of the editors for SCC is a good friend of mine and works for Nissan America as a engineer.
