Bad Power Steering Pump?

I have an 03' SE 6-speed and it sounds like the powersteering is out of fluid, but there is no fluid loss. Only when the tranny is engaged and going slowly while turning, I hear the whirring type noise.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Also, any recommendations for spark plug replacement?

Thanks

does it only do it when you turn sharp (steering wheel turned all the way)?
if so, thats normal.
most common way a pump goes bad is a bad seal. you would see fluid dripping and the resevoir would be empty. and you would be able to tell when steering. it would be very hard because your power steering is not working.
mine went bad and it was a pain!!

Trying flushing out the old fluids and replace it w/synthetic Auto-trans. oil.
I empty mine and refilled the reservoir twice within a month interval with Amsoil ATF. The steering now seems to work better at all temperature and probably the steering units will last longer too.

I've recent changed my sparkplug w/Denso Irridium brand. It performs just fine thus far...

As I am under warranty and there is definitely something wrong, I have scheduled an appointment. I will let everyone know if there is some sort of defect or problem. Thanks for the replies.

I did all the Amsoil stuff. Manual transmission fluid and the 0w-30. So much better...

Did you notice any perfomance increase with the Denso plugs?
Where did you buy them?

Thanks
