Resonator or No Resonator?

Resonator or No Resonator?
I have a question for anyone that can help. I have an 03 Maxima SE 6 Speed and just put on a PowerTech 1011 Muffler which has an inlet size of 2.5" Nissans piping I believe is 2" or 2.25". So I was thinking of bringing the car to Meineke and having them take 2.5" piping and running it from the Cat to the muffler eliminating the Resonator. Making it a more free flowing exhaust. Does anyone know if this will add a little HP or will it lose HP? Also will it make the Max much louder? I am just worried that there won't be enough back pressure if I do this and I will lose power and torgue!. So any and all help is appreciated.

#1 don't bring your car to Meineke. goto a profession exhaust shop and pay 1/2 the money for a better job.
#2 you might as well just have them bend a 2.5 inch pipe to your new muffler. you can add a resonator later to it.
#3 high flow cats really don't do much for our cars in hp to cash spent ratio. but if you have the cash to spend go and get one, just make sure you get a high quality one, high flow cats are known for blowing out much quicker then stock. i would only replace it with a high flow if my stock cat was in bad condition
your car will be louder but not horribly so...really depends on the muffler.
you will gain Hp. but nothing worth talking about. cat backs are like air intakes. noise.
hope this answers your questions.
now you need headers!!!!!
