Finally... Dyno Results Are In On My Pfi Turbo Kit!!

OK,

Get more info on whats been going on w/my car in my other thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=308014

FINALLY after a year of having the turbo installed and running the car untuned, I recently was able to get all the components I needed to get the car tuned properly. It obviously took me some time to get my boost controller (greddy profec e-01), greddy e-manage w/injector harnesses, ignition coil harnesess, and RC 370cc injectors. So... after alot of time, research and maybe a few bucks , We were finally ready to dyno.... I was not there because my wife is literally 10 months pregnant and I'm on amber baby alert right now. We are expecting our 1st child... A BOY!!! Anyway my mechanic dynoed the car for me and called to inform me everything went well and the results were as follows:

On 116 octane gas to help prevent detonation and running 14psi boost on a T4/60-1 turbo, I posted 401whp and 396 torque!!!!

I will post my dyno results sheet tonight or tomorrow depending on when they get back from NJ (I'm in NY) for all the doubters. My car is not a daily driver and I dont run 116 octane all the time. I just did it for the dyno so we could pump the boost up a bit and have some fun. Since I only drive it on weekends or holidays, I may continue to run high octane depending on what my people say. My patience has paid off and I'm pretty amped right now.... FIRE AWAY!!

My friends just got back w/my car from NJ about 2 hours ago and they locked my keys in the car somehow! I had to go and give them the spare so they could put it inside for the night and I was able to get the dyno sheet! Its not the one I expected but you guys will get the jist of it. Slight correction however:

402 WHP and 302 Torque @ 14psi Here is the Dyno Sheet. BIG-UPS to SPI Power Excel in New Jersey and PM Motorsports in Rosedale, NY.

Enjoy!

thats some serious power right there. I always loved the people that TC their 3.0 on 5sp, shows how much effort they put in their car. Good job. Now soon we'll see how the people with the TC 3.5 make

Thanx for all the support fellas.... my people and I are really excited about how much power I put down. Hubie the owner of SPI and the guys there could not believe that a Maxima on a stock block put those numbers up! My mechanic said that the car is even capable of making more power but he didnt want to push it too much on the very first dyno tuning session. Our goal was just to get the car running properly. They did comment on how easy the car made power throughout the power band and didnt seem to struggle at all once it was tuned.
The dyno runs were done in 3rd gear.... and they said that if I would have done some 4th gear runs, I would have made another 20+ whp EASY! I'm considering going back to the dyno just for the hell of it to do some overall HP runs in 4th Gear now!!
My car has been talking to me btw... I've got so much crap in there. The 3.5 Turbocharged Maxima numbers should be sick. I remember that theres a 2k2 + guy running around with a t4/60-1 BALL BEARING turbo IMO. 3.5 "should" make more power although I'm skeptical about how much faster they will be because of the weight difference... IF they are faster at all. Dixit is more into the formula behind the tuning so if he can get his car tuned properly w/the e-manage, his numbers should be very good as well.

Congrats Don!! I bet that Phil and Hugh were very suprised with the numbers. Makes them beleivers now. I can't wait too see what a built motor can do. When is the next time you're going to Dyno? Also I spoke to Phil and I'm going to start my turbo project in mid July, I'm going with the t04e Ball bearing setup. Wish you Well With the New baby Boy. I'll be around to check you.

Impressive. Not only because of the whp, but because of the wtq. Must be a blast to drive. How many PSI will you be able to run off the race gas on 94 Octane or so?

Yikes~!

Look at how *FLAT* the top of that curve is vs. a 4th gen even with MEVI...very nice. I guess our -K manifolds can flow plenty at least for 400whp, which is enough for 99% of us out there.

Deac,

Any chance you can find out the correction factor used on the SAE correction or get the uncorrected graph by chance? Even better, if you could get the Dynojet Runviewer files on disk maybe?

Also, what Air/Fuel ratio are you seeing and what kind of timing is he pulling vs. RPM using the eManage?

Congrats BTW!!!!!!

Ya did you have a 3 inch exhuast? Why a 3rd gear pull

You probally be running 15 psi in 4th gear. With that kind of boost, 1 bar, you should always run that high octane on the high compression. Also like Icey said, how much timing was pulled back?

3rd gear is fine unless you want to compare your hp/tq dyno to non-5spd Maximas or other cars.

Nice numbers. Have not seen you post in a while. You think you going to run that in the streets or at the track anytime soon? This is motivation. My car is all jacked up and untuned, is about to get completely unfcked in the next three weeks

No flamming, just being honest. You may want to look in the boosted forums. There is a dyno that disagrees with you.

clicky read and enjoy, thats @10PSI, a spike to 11, a broken zip tied MEVI and regular 91 octane pump gas.
