responce to earlier 2k to 2k3 hid conversion

wow, i posted questions about maxima 2k to 2k3 headlight conversion to a group of fellow maxima lovers thinking i would get some help and just as i encountered at the dealership, i'm met with hostility. i didnt realize that the theft of these headlights was as big of an epidemic as it is, nor that theft was higher in nj. For any in doubt, go to ebay and you'll see where i bought them from, new, still in box, never installed so obviously not stolen. i'm 28 and i like stock upgrades not aftermarket, too old for that anymore. i have stock lexus rx330 18" rims with 245/45 conti extremes, 50-55% tint, and body colored mud/splash gaurds. it does'nt look "hooked up" at all but instead newer and classier and the hids were the final step. I was looking at hids all winter. most had broken tabs, scratches, moisture inside etc. and they were still getting crazy $ for them, but then projectors came out about 2 months ago and not only did the demand for stock hids decline but ebay listings with "broken tabs" declined as well. obviously people are'nt stealing them as frequently anymore because of the decline in there street value. And rightfully so, the projectors finally gave maxima owners a choice and for many these lights are perfect but are simply too flashy for me. i prefer the stock look and at $800 for NEW hids compared to the $800 to $1200 for used actually damaged hids that were being sold last winter it was time for me too buy. now to all those who were nice, thank you, but i need more info. To any still in doubt, i can send by request pics of my car with the rx rims that i had to have specially boared out to fit max hub, all to keep it looking factory. i'm not a little kid that would buy stolen or steal headlights to "hook up" my car, infact i go to great lengths to keep it looking stock ie; rx rims that look almost exactly like factory except are 2" bigger and completely transform the car into a much more aggressive looking machine all while maintaining the stock look i like. Any who can and will help please email me personally (patspastry@aol.com) i'll send my pics then we'll talk privately via email instead of posting since i now realize that's a big no-no to post info on this topic. thanks to any that will help

I think you have gone a step in the right direction with identifying yourself and you cars and such and still seem to have a good attitude about it (instead of getting all huffy like some others). I hope others might recognize this also and that someone with this knowledge might PM or e-mail you. I would help you but I don't know the specifics myself.

BTW, welcome to the ORG and I hope future projects of yours are not so difficult!

thanks for the possitive responce,i took a pic of my car next to my next door neighbor of 3 years who happens to be a galloway cop, come on i did'nt steal the hids and i can see how and why others have gotten nasty, its very frustrating just trying to figure out how to use the options of the .org never mind getting a straight answer out of someone. i cant figure out how to post the pic on here but i can email it directly to anyone interested. anyway thanks for the support, hopefully someone will help.
