Short shifter found for 2k2/2k3

Hey guys,

I think I may have found a solution for a short shifter for the 2k2/2k3 maxima.

We all know that the SENTRA SPEC-V uses the same transmission as the 2k2/2k3 6 speed transmission.

So would the shifter on the sentra spec-v work on the 2k2/2k3 6speed?

If so,

Then B&M has relased an amazing short shifter kit for the sentra SPEC-V

http://www.bmracing.com/products/shft_manual/45068.html

Would this work?

It looks nice, but does it accomodate the reverse lock on our 2k2/2k3 Maximas?

this has alreayd been attempted, but it's actually different. you'd think you can try and fudge it in, but you can't. i know that moss nissan (or something like that) had someone test it out and there was an issue which was not doing good at all. since then, they were supposedly trying to make adjustments to it to make it fit, and last i've heard, they weren't pursuing it.

if it helps any, i'm working with energy suspension on a full suspension bushing system for our cars. they just sent me a shifter bushing kit which i will be testing.....ok scratch testing. chinkzilla already tested it and he loves it. i'm gettin it cause i set up the whole thing. supposedly improves shifting feel by a lot. it's not a STS persay, but it is an improvement over stock. check the energy suspension thread for updates.
