That's what's in the official technical manual. ECM is the ECU (engine control module or engine control unit.. same thing)

no idea if that is too vague or if you need to know what each pin on it is for.

For 2000s, you can get the corresponding information on EC-149 to EC-156 of the FSM. I didn't look up the exact pages for the 2001 FSM, but it'll be in there.

So instead of starting a new thread with the same title, you dug up a pointless 2 year old thread with no information in it?

There are many links to free FSM downloads floating around on the .Org. Use the advanced search feature to find them.

Throttle Position Switch (closed position) - 56
Throttle Position sensor signal output - 82
Throttle Postion sensor - 91

ECM Ground - 48
ECM Ground - 57
ECM Ground - 106
ECM Ground - 108

ECM Power - 110

Not sure why your page numbers are so different, but the pins look right.

I'd use pin 91 for the throttle wire because that is the TPS wire to the ECU. Just check the voltages and % throttle reading at idle (0% throttle) and at WOT (100% throttle) on the VAFC to see that they are within the FSM specs.

Btw, just so you know I'm not on crack, here's a copy of the 2000 FSM EC-155 with some of the pin descriptions and specs:

There is also actually a 2000.5 FSM, but that same page is EC-156 in that manual.

i thought that pin 91 would be the one to use, what about the four ground wires and two powers wires, just use one of them?

thanks for the responses, hope this helps out other 2k owners.

I believe you can use either power wire as long as voltage is close to battery voltage, and almost any ground wire. For example, I followed Jime's writeup and use pin 48 for ground, while SR20DEN uses pin 106 or 108.

Studman's SAFCII diagram actually says not to use any ECM wires for ground, but no one else seems to be bothered by that, so I'm not sure about that. Unless I'm misunderstanding what he was trying to say.
