Foglamps Exchange / Removal

Very easy actually:

1. Remove the one clip directly under the foglamp on the black plastic paneling underneath car. Then remove one screw to side directly between clip and tire. This same panel has 2 10mm bolts towards the center of the car. One has a screw design but comes off quicker with 10mm . Once all four are removed bend paneling back towards tire. It will slide out of the ground effects lip naturally.

2. Take the one 10mm screw/bolt out from bottom of foglight assembly. Disconnect the electrical boot at back of lamp assembly.

3. (This is the hardest part) Take a rubber mallet and pop the back of the foglight assembly once and it will pop out towards front of the car. Keep your hand on foglight itself to avoid it flying .

4. Take foglamp off car and twist rear cap to open bulb assembly. (Waterproof and tight) Small metal clip moves backwards to release bulb and you simply disconnect electrical wire to cap. Put new bulb (H3) back in and install wire to cap assembly.

Put the car back together the opposite way, only no more mallet is necessary. You will feel foglamp pop back in and then just reinstall 10mm and electrical connection. Reinstall panel under ground effects lip and put all screws/bolts back in.

#3 is actually harder than in sounds. Took me about an hour to figure out how to do #3.
It's a ***** changing the fogs. Just go 2 a shop and do it. They charge like 10 bucks and it only takes them like 5-10 mins.

Nissan in Florida wants 70.00 to change bulbs. Honestly if you remember to remove the 10mm first and use a RUBBER MALLET it pops out with one firm bump, not hard. Line up your hit with the three plastic tabs on back on foglamp and it pops out!! Just remember to catch it or put a rag in the fog lamp cutout (front) to keep it from flying.

Took me 15 minutes to do both sides on my garage floor. Took me longer to find out how to do it on the internet!!!

I wanna know how easy it is to install the Rear Sway Bar. And how much of the trunk must be disassembled????

I used a normal hammer, which also worked just fine.
The RSB requires no disassembly of the trunk - it mounts under the car. Installation takes no skill, just some time...

I agree with RBa. It's a serious ***-pain to change these things. That's why I was pissed when I got my new replacement YellowStars and they were WHITE. Eff it, I'm leaving them, no way I'm doing that again for a while.. my hands all cut up, eff that.

I was thinking about the rear strut bar, running across the truck. Does the sway bar also make a worth while investment???

None of the mods can be properly characterized as an "investment".

However, the strong consensus on this board is that the front strut tower brace and the rear sway bar are the two most beneficial mods. I don't know if anyone here has installed the rear brace.
