2000-2001 Dash Kits
Hey whats up...I wish I could have searched to find the info I was looking for, but the search feature is disabled...so here I am... >=(... I just ordered a Carbon Fiber Dash Kit for my 2000 SE from Crystal Lux through my work...No one there had any experience with them before, so I'm not sure how great it's going to be, but the price was right with my discount. The reason for ordering the kit is that my SE's factory wood kit is peeling like friggin crazy. This thing is a huge piece of crap. Nissan has even recalled pieces of my kit before, but now more and more is peeling and they wont warentee it out any more. The Maxima actually sits out in the hot sun a lot and I think that is why it is peeling, but has anyone else had such an experience with the OEM dash kit being a piece of junk? Any after market kit recommendations? Any pics of a CF kit when installed? The Maxima actually is owned by my father and I got him the CF kit for his birthday and doesn't mind the CF as opposed to the wood, but I just hope it holds up better...any comments/pics/opinions would GREATLY be appreciated. Thanks a lot guys.

my OEM was fine, no peeling. i just didnt like the old man wood crap. got mine for $240 from autodash.com
did you get a molded kit? if not then it wont look right on the doors.
here is a picture of mine. there are more pictures on page 2 of my homepage. you will see why a molded kit is needed.
