Anyone know where, or if there is even a plan to make a chip for the 2001 Maxima? The car just starts to get going at about 4500 and then you gotta shift at 6600. They need a chip to up the redline to at least 7 and maybe put a few more ponies into it. Anyone else agree?

I agree, on my last car I could feel the end of my power range and would just shift without looking so much at the RPM's. With the Max I konw there's more power left in the engine. Everytime I start to pick up some serious power and speed I get cut off my the rev limiter. A 7k redline would probably make the car much faster!

Getting a chip would be killer. However, I don't believe that you can put a chip into a OBD II car and get the results you want. You will probably have to reprogram the computer.

Considering there isn't one out for the later 4th gens.. I don't see us getting one any time soon.
