I'm back in the maxima community...

Well, after loosing my '96 max to a fire while driving it a few weeks ago, I got a great deal on a 2002 maxima. It has 32000K miles on it and is in great condition. The only downside is that there is no sunroof, but I can live without it even though I love them. I've never seen a maxima with wood trim like this one and it makes it look awesome. We talked the guy down to $15555. Here are some pics.

welcome back!

I think the original owner added the wood trim himself.

On the bright side, having no sunroof = weight savings and a faster car.

Yea, I thought so, it looks good. What color is it, like, the nissan color, not just gray or silver. I forgot to mention that the wood trim doesn't look so orangey.

Looks like there's some extra body molding on the bumpers.

Yea, I noticed those extra body moldings on a lot of cars when I visited NY a few months ago. They put it on to prevent the bumpers from getting chipped up from idiots that can't park right on the streets. It's a pretty good idea & it looks great when done right. (In this case it is.)

Sterling Mist for the 00/01 Maximas. It's Sheer Silver for the 02/03s.

LOL, I was waiting to see, "(in this case, not)"

I get the car tonight. The first thing I have to do is get that stupid little black sticker off the back by the "maxima" writing. It better not be too difficult.

Sterling Mist on my Max and the Sterling Mist on an 02 look different to me. Are you positive that both sterling colors are identical? One looks darker than the other to me.

Nah, I like the wood trim. It doesn't look so orangey in person. I'll take a picture of it when I get it. Maybe I can get the real look of it.
