There are none and there doesn't look like there will be one for a while, if ever. The G35 is totally different setup, so no, it will not work. There are companies that worked on STS for the Altima and SE-R, but it seems the Maxima differs enough that they couldn't get it to work on our cars and just gave up. There is, however, a bushing kit coming out from Energy Suspension that may make the shifts more crisp. It looks like the best option, even if it is the only, for the time being.

this may not shorten your throw, but if anything, it will help you get more precise shifts. these bushings are nice. firm. the stick doesn't shake anymore. i like this. so far, energy has my thumbs up for final production of these. i will explain more in my shifter bushing thread.

Is there any reason they won't make the short throws for our 6-speeds? Why are they not bothering? It couldn't possibly be that hard. I think the 1st person to make one will make a fortune off us.

I think it is that hard. Have you opened your dash to take a close look at the stick? There is a whole spring loaded assembly right on the shaft of the stick which provides a "reverse lock out" when you don't pull up on that plastic ring. Also, the mounting location for the cables could be problematic . . . If you move them, you might also have to change the lengths of the cables. These are technical problems which could dissuade a company from spending much money on R&D when they could get a bigger bang for the buck by developing a simpler STS for another vehicle instead . . .

the STS is currently being worked on, you didn't hear that from me. that, combined with the energy suspension shifter bushing kit, is goign to be one sexy clutch.

Well since they did it for the Altima, maybe now when the Altima SE-R is comes out they'll make one for it, in which it should work for us too. I wouldn't hold your breath though.

I'd seen your posts regarding the Energy Suspension bushings - they sound really great. But this new information sounds even better! We really need that STS for the '02+ 6 speeds! Do you have any additional details for it?
