I really wish I would have picked up a manual. Not that I would drive it like that, but still. Seems like so much of a difference.

i'm curious as to what rpm he was shifting at, sounded like the engine was near or at 7K rpm, isn't redline normally at 6,750 rpm on 3.5L?

Redline is at 6.5 rpm. The tach is actually ~.5 off. The rev limiter won't kick in until the tack reads ~7950 but the engine is actually at 6.5 rpm.

Also at about :46 he got a pretty nasty slide of the rear end. Could have easily fishtailed.

But hey, it was nice.

You kidding? That's how you're SUPPOSED to drive a maxima... no...i'm just kidding But yeah that guy must have been watching too many nissan commercials with the drifting through the desert stuff.

I had no idea our cars sounded like that from the outside

Hmmm u think it might have been frankencar steve or emax's car?

Standard bootleg 180. It did look like he almost lost it around :46. I swear I have seen that video before and that one of the memebers here posted it claiming it was him a long time ago.

Well all - I'm not sure if I should be proud to be the driver or not with the mixed feedback. It was me... last spring when I had to burn off some tires (well, didn't have to, but chose to).

The 'pole' I almost hit - that was still 25' off of the road, the mailbox was a bit more of a concern though.

Yes, I did edit the video to not show how loose the rear-end got - that scarred the **** out of me, but as I was once told - power out of it, which I did and avoided any damage to the car, only my ego

Burnouts: bounce the throttle around 5k, and drop it, the smoke will fly. Pay attention to your rpm's, you can feather the throttle to keep the smoke going.

I'm not sure where you all claim this came from as a 'repost' and that someone else was here claiming it was them. I've never posted that video, nor have I ever promoted the site that my friends and I maintain until just recently. Anyways - now that summer is here, there should be more videos posted shortly:

M-Coupe doing autox
Supercharged Dakota killing the competition at a local oval track event
Supercharged M3 @ 1/4 mile track
Sick STi on the highway doing roll-ons (very popular car in the subaru community)
... and more

Thanks. It was an early production, and since then have tried to improve on the video editing a bit more. Keep an eye on the site, and poke around. With summer back, we're due to have a few filming sessions.

Whether you posted it or not, I know for sure I saw it a LONG time ago as it was very memorable.

Just one question: Does your Max have the HLSD option in it?

HLSD = No, but on a flat surface in a straight line, they'll both burn nicely.

Any chance you can do some short race videos..NOT THAT I ADVOCATE RACING ( )

Like you vs. G35, TL, CL-S, TL-S, 350Z, etc,... Those are always a blast.

Assuming the G35 and 350Z are 6speeds, the races will be almost equal, at least in my experience(not that I condone that sort of thing).

sweet! the video w/ the suburban doing a burnout is hilarious, that was great .. will we get to see anymore videos of the suburban as well as more great max, m3 and 300zx videos? also, as someone mentioned, how about throwing a G35 & Acura TL(S) in the mix, not only for burnouts but for some head-to-head competition w/ the max?

other than that excellent work on all the cars

If there's anyone in southern maine/seacoast NH that wants to participate, please PM me, and we'll get together. I've been looking for a 350z or G35 to play with, but I don't know anyone personally to do so.
