there aren't really any issues, depending on the size and the offset. i'm rubbing on 19x8's, but fender rollin can easily fix that. i know a few with 20's and they're okay.

so, what i'm really asking is, what is the width and offset?

I think H&R's are the most subtle drop you can find for 20's (1.3F/1.0R)

many runnin 20's dont drop though cause they already rub on stock springs

damn take kloogy's d!ck outta your mouth, its upsetting to see a man talk like you. i think you will be straight with any kind of spring as long as it isn't slammed. i have 19's with progress and no rub at all. i could throw on soem 20's and be good

90% or more of 20 inch wheels are a POS and are ghetto chrome. The 5th gen Max looks perfect with 19 inch wheels. Unless you're getting a custom set of Iforged or Lowenharts , that will have a proper offset for your car, it will look like crap. Most 20's have universal offsets, and look like plain garbage. Then your Max will look like a grasshopper. 19's are a perfect mix of style and sport. Its your money, and do as you please.

ok guys y does everything have to be a hate session on the org it seems like all she was asking was what springs should she go with didn't need the stupid comments about ohhhh get 19's they look better or that's ghetto the fact of the matter is everyones style is different. My girlfriend likes big rims and that's her style not race but for show.

GOD DAMN how about you chill the f*** out

I said ask kloogy because he's been through this discussion a million times over. Do you have opinions of your own or do you jump on the bandwagon when ppl diss someone?
say it to my face chigga.

MaximaGirl97:

Ghetto :

I never dissed on your style. I just meant 19's fill up the wheel wells perfectly on a maxima without looking like they don't belong. Just like u wouldn't put 15's with low pro tires on an expedition or 22's on a toyota corolla.

it's all good dude, i wasn't on your case... it was the dude that said i was on kloogy's nuts for saying 'ask kloogy'

edit: forgot to say.. get H&R's they won't be as low so they won't rub as much, and they ride the best according to most so it'll compensate for the thin rubber.

To stay on topic...

I'd recommend not purchasing springs until after you mount the 20's. You may find you like the look as is. If not, I'd recommend H&R's with 20's since a very mild drop should be all you need. Eibachs draw complaints for ride for people running stock rims, so I'd stay away from them. And I gotta say, TitaniuMax03's ride looks totally sick on Progress.

Ghetto :

QUOTE]

I'm curious as to your definition of ghetto. Are you referring to the bike or the Caddy in the picture? That Caddy is definitely not ghetto. I like it. Having 20 inch wire wheels on a old Skool Caddy isn't ghetto, its hott. Now puttin one of those mirrors off the bike on the Caddy as a sideview mirror.. Now that's ghetto.. Let's try and get the definition correct..

Sorry for going off topic..

I recommend Maxspeed springs.. I have a set. Haven't put them on the car yet; but from the pics I've seen of other cars that have them they don't drop the car too low and I hear the ride is pretty much close to stock so that's what I'd go with..

BTW there's nothing wrong with puttin 20's on the Max.. It's your car and your money do with it as you please.. I'll be a member of the Max with 20's club next year b/c my 19's look kinda small..

Your site show's 18's not 19's, and yeah, they do look strangely small. It's the combo of ultra low profile tires and no drop. Your 18's would look great with a nice drop.

TitaniuMax03 Your car looks so good. That is exactly what I want my car to look like. I have progress springs now and I am getting 20" giovanna's in july. Max girl 20's will def look hott on your car but I do agree that you need some type a drop otherwise it looks like a 4x4.

MaximaGirl... Do you rub already with the 20"s? Cuz if you do, when you lower the car you will be sitting on the tire. You have to make sure that your offset is the right offset for a maxima. If you choose the wrong offset you will rub all the time. I don't remember, but I thought someone at the AZ meet said that you rub occasionally? I could be wrong, or maybe they were talking about another car.

FYI , if I wanted 20's they would be a lot cheaper than what I have. Any rim shop locally can sell me a set of chrome universal 20's with tires for 1400 bucks... I didnt feel my Max was deserving of that.....so..

Those are my old rims.. I got 19 x 8.5 ADR Sterling's... Pics coming soon.. My 19's do look bigger than my 18's but sometimes they look small to me.. I guess they'll look better when I get my springs on..
