I got a chinese nismo knock-off off ebay. It didnt come with much instructions, so I improvised. Seems like my car has more low to midrange power now. g35driver.com has quite a lot of info on hyper-grounding.

I just put mine on over the weekend. I got the Hyper Ground System from Nextcollection.com, $114.95 plus shipping $9.95. They offered more color choices. The kit came with general directions, but simple to figure out. MUCH MORE low end torque. I have an auto and it seemed like I wouldn't hit the power curve until at least 3500 RPM. Now, it just pulls harder off the line, revs easier and just seems to be more responsive.

I got one...

I got mine from member Matt93SE. I like it. I got just basic black as I didnt want it to stick out at all.

If you purchase from Matt, he gives you a link to his web Addy giving you detailed instructions on where to put all the links.

Performance:
Not really sure I noticed much engine changes, other than maybe a bit smoother and it was easier to start. Not designed to "make" power. But some other electrical issues seem to get resolved. My defrost at idle would make the dash dim and RPMS drop a bit. No more. Also, my power windows were slowing down in movement. They now operate like stock.

So, in my opinion, it fixes a weak point in the stock wiring...but I dont think you will see a night and day "result". You might see some fine tuning to some possible degradation.

Also keep in mind my car is in mint condition and babied/garaged

Maybe there is a difference between "home made" kits and commercial ones? Also, how many wires, quality of the wires, and location of grounding points play a role. I sanded down the contact points for better conductivety when I was installing mine. I heard that grounding the tranny helps a lot, so does the ECU if you can find it(there should ECU wiring coming from the cabin into the engine bay). Btw, there are instructions for the ebay kit on vqpower.com under DIY section for 4th gen.

No it wont. If you're serious you need wires that are 4-gauge, 99% copper, oxygen free, covered with heat and chemo resistant wrapping.

There are diagrams and descriptions of all grounding points in the ESM (electronic service manual), electrical system section (EL). If you dont have one, I think I heard some one say they saw it floating around p2p networks...

I did a home made kit...it seemed to have dropped the idle very slightly, but i know all other observations i "thought" i made were primarly because of placebo.

I've ordered mine from Blehmco's group deal going on right now. $45 shipped, instructions provided as mentioned in post #7. Each kit is specific for each model year.
Other than making a kit from scratch, this has got to be the best deal for a hyperground kit (that is actually made for our cars) that I've ever seen.

I made my own custom kit with 6 gauge wire and did 12 points following the write up in the how-to section for the 02-03 max's. I couldn't say i saw any significant gains but maybe low end is a little stronger and full throttle accel is smoother. I mostly just did it cause it looked fun.

BLK2BLU,
I went shopping around today. I looked at LOWES but they didn't have the 4 gauge connectors. I kinda wish that I had snagged the CE Grounding kit from my 99 before I got rid of it, but oh well. It didn't like the RED wires that had. I figured that Black would look better.

I used the Custom Enterprise Grounding kit on my 99 SE. I was relatively happy with it, but I had to modify one of the connectors so it would fit on the bolt on the Strut Tower. Other than that, I did notice a Smoother Idle, and more responsive accelleration.
If anyone has a kit on a 5th Gen, I would like to see it as well.

has anyone asked a mechanic what exactly these things do for your car in both terms of performance and w/e else... instead of just going by what the company tells you??
