starting performance

I have a 2000 maxima SE, i want to improve my performance. I don't know where to start though. I just recently bought the car so i guess i should start with a tune up. Also my brakes are skiking really bad everytime i stop, so i guess i need new pads. But after that, where do i go from there. Few of my friends told me i should get like super high flow cats, but i don't know which ones are good for the maxima. I also looking for not to expensive parts as well. If you guys have any suggestion that would cool. Thanks

get the y-pipe, removes one of the precat, so u dont need to get high flow. for brakes pads check how much brake pad u got left befor replacing it. if u got alot but it makes noise its cuz its glazed. jus hold the brake and put in drive, then drive under a load for like 30secs in neighborhood.
