I own an '03 SE and the ac compressor started making like a humming noise and it wasn't cooling enough anymore. The Nissan stealer replaced it under warranty and the new one makes noise too and still doesn't cool enough either. The stealer says it's normal. They did not replaced the receiver dryer though. Any help will be appreciated. It's getting hot in the Tampabay area.

Always a good idea to replace r/d when system is opened to air for that long!

With system fully charged check to make sure low pressure side is cold, if high side is cool or cold, then possibly a blocked condenser. Did they use the proper charge weight and oil amount when they recharged your system? Did they replace the o-rings?

Common causes of compressor failure...too much oil..not enough oil...blockage in condenser (blows compressor seals) and several other things! Take it back to the dealer and make them diagnose it properly!
