Panicking! Please Help...Is my electrical shot?

I went to start my car. My highs went on instead of my normal headlights, then the lights went off. No matter what setting I use, Off, On, or Auto, I can't get them to go on now. All I can get is the blinkers. My hardwired radar detector is displaying High Voltage. I tried to drive it and my ABS light came on for a minute and then went off. What is going on?

Please help.

No real mods.

I have a remote starter that's never given me problems in the 3 years I've had it.

I had my ECU reflashed for the P0420 Catalyst Emissions problem a few weeks ago.

Check the obvious's...fuses and relays...maybe a ground issue? Check the chassis grounds and maybe have your battery tested? I'm not an electrical expert, however. Good luck!

Do you think that it is safe to drive the car to the shop or do I risk damaging something?

DON't drive the car...

Its not a grounding issue.. DON'T start the car, and tow it in..

If you keep driving it, you could risk burning your ECU, and all sorts of sensitive sensors... and it will be big bucks.

Sounds like the alternator voltage regulator

I brought it to the stealership. They say my alternator went bad which burnt out my lights. This is a good opportunity for me to try out the Silverstar bulbs. Thanks for your help guys.
