Hi all, noob here. I am looking to buy a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE with leather. The only thing I know about the factory leather equipped SE models is that they also came with electronic climate control. Is this correct? Or was ECC a stand alone option as well?
I am looking at two cars, both of them are an hour drive away. The dealers told me they are SE models with factory leather. I have not seen them in person yet, but I am trying to find out what else came on the SE models with leather. What were the option packages for the SE, 2000 model year? Oh yeah, both cars have automatic transmissions too.
Sorry all for the noobie questions, I am just starting to learn about the 5th gen Maxima.
Thanks!

depends on if it has the meridian package, which I think included the leather, auto cc, heated seats, and heated outside mirrors...
I have a 2k SE with that package....I have never seen a non-leather maxima with that auto climate control....

i have a 2000 maxima w/leather heated seats and climate controle, and alltheother stuff, but not heated mirrors. i say definitely go for one w/these options because they make driving alot more comfortable.
Hope this helps

Heated mirrors are a HUGE plus, especially if you live anyplace that has winters below freezing temps or alot of moisture/dew on summer mornings. Heated mirrors get rid of ice on the mirrors as well as condensation in the a.m.
I agree with everything else PWM said....

Okay, this is what I found out about the 2000 SE, does this seem right?
SE-Comfort and Convenience Package:
8-Way Power Driver’s Seat
HomeLink Universal Transceiver
*17-Inch Performance Aluminum-Alloy Wheels
P225/50VR17 Performance Tires
Power Sliding Glass Sunroof
Variable Intermittent Wipers
Cargo Net
(*Late Availability)
SE Leather Trim Package:
Leather Seating Surfaces
Automatic Temperature Control
Simulated Leather Door Trim
Passenger Side Seatback Map Pocket
4-Way Power Front-Passenger Seat
SE-Deluxe Seating Package:
Heated Front Seats
Front-seat side-impact air bags
Heated Outside Mirrors
Low Washer Fluid Warning Light
Trunk Lid Trim
(*Requires Comfort and Convenience Package)
It seems like the Bose Sound System was a stand alone option for the SE, but required the Comfort and Convenience Package. Is this correct?

My 2K SE has leather, heated seats, heated mirrors, auto/digital A/C, side air bags, TCS (Traction Control System), and 17" wheels. As said before, all these options come as a package.

I believe you are correct the Bose Premium sound required the Comfort and Convenience Package.Originally Posted by DrewSRX

I have a 2KSE 5SPD w/leather, meridian, comfort/convenience, bose.
I'm not sure what package my car came with, but I think I have everything (leather, auto CC, heated mirrors, heated power seats, Bose that I ripped out and replaced, cargo net, variable intermittent wipers, 17" wheels which originally had 225/50-17, power sunroof, etc.)
All I can say is...
I love my car
Feels like luxury to me

If you don't have to deal with too much traffic....I would recommend looking for a 5 speed....just my opinion. Much, Much, Much more fun to drive. (i have had both)

You should have two 3-way switches very close to the armrest. The left one operates the driver's side, right one operates the passenger side.Originally Posted by PearlWhtMaX2000
is there anyway i can tell if mine are heated?

Err, whoops, sorry, thought you were talking about the seats. I don't know... maybe turn on the rear defroster and feel the mirror?

might be hard in the summer. When it's cool out (early morning perhaps) if you turn the rear defrost on for a minute or two and put your hand to the side mirror face, you can actually feel the warmth...Like I said though, it's easy to tell in the winter, not so easy to tell in the summer! Or you could turn them on if there's dew/condensation on your mirrors in the a.m. the heat will make them clear up in a matter of minutes....Originally Posted by PearlWhtMaX2000

but if you have the heated seats, I'm pretty sure you also have the heated mirrors.
Dude I have a loaded 2000 with sun, leather, power, TCS, and NO heated mirrors... sorry but I don't think they put heated mirrors on the 2000 .

Huh??? Yes, they do.....I have heated mirrors on mine. Turning on the rear defrost button heats up the mirrors.Originally Posted by DonGfun
