Car and Driver/5th gen/HIDS ARTICLE

July 2004 Car and Driver magazine has an article about HIDS and sights the 5th gen Max as the car most sought after by HID thieves.

It was discussed before. Search for it. It was posted very recently. It also had a link for the article.

It had a full scan of the article yeah. Didn't say much we didn't know. Basically:

776 thefts in February (Supposedly only in Jersey)

Described how to steal the HIDs (How stupid of the editor)

Said that thieves like them for the bright light bulbs mostly.

If thief gets the whole unit, he pulls out the lights and sells the units for profit.

The class-action lawsuit.

And I think that was really it. Not a terribly long article.
