Weird Thing Happened...

I posted that my battery light was on for a day followed by the brake light. Everyone said it was the alternator or a bad cell.(I have a new battery) Thanks for the feedback.

Well now, all the warning lights are off and the car runs fine. I am afraid thought to go on a long trip this weekend 500 miles. The dealer said when the alts go they go, not on/off etc...any ideas...is it fine or should I be worried it will go. FYI, All the wires are tight and it is 100% stock. 66k.

66K miles sounds kinda soon for an alternator... but I do believe if an alternator fails due to worn brushes, it can be in a fuzzy "on/off" sort of manner... that usually doesn't happen until at least 100+K miles I think

Alternator on my old '95 Altima went at 61,000 miles, just outside the powertrain warranty. My mom's went at 35,000 miles.
