y-pipe hanger...

A mechanic installed a warpspeed y-pipe on my 2000 maxima, but he's stating that the hanger that came with the y-pipe would not fit. So right now, it does not have the hanger, and is hitting against the body of the car causing the rattling...
Can anyone describe to me or better yet show me some pictures on how to install the hanger?

Thank you!

He is prbly doing it backwards, the wsp hanger goes rear of the frame hang point (vs. forward like the stock one) and attaches to the pipe via the clamp provided. I recently installed mine and the hanger works fine for me

I have no doubt it doesn't fit. I haven't heard of anyone yet who got a WSP pipe with the hanger in the right position. What a piece of garbage...

Maybe they finally changed the design then. All the previous WSP ones, including mine, have a hanger that's welded on. It's not clamped on like yours.

Triple8Sol has a 2002 which would mean he has the VQ35DE, while Kiosk has a 2000 which would mean he has a VQ30DE (Not actually sure on the model number) Regardless, they're different engines, which may imply that the Y pipes are different, because WS has different model numbers for the specific years...just a thought

here is an idea buy the cattman pipe and not worry about which way the hanger goes...trust me i had the warpspeed pos and took it off after three months of it leaking, rubbing and making some god awful sounds
