had an estimate of $620 for small dent

Hi all,
My car has dent which cross passenger side door vertically. Not too bad and no scratches with it. Went to dealer and asked estimate.
And they quoted me about $620 for a door.
How does that sound to you guys??
Of course I'm not gonna fix the dent for the amont now. probably when I trade, I will fix it.. It sounds too much to me.

DentWizard

Hey, try checking out DentWizard. I heard they were pretty good. I have two dings in my rear passenger door and probably going to go to DentWizard to have them fixed. Pricing starts at around $100...I think? Hope this helps.

I had a dent fixed in atlanta from some kind of Dent doctor, he came to my house, worked for 45 min charged me $25. Looks like original. They can fix cracked or broken paint. I suggest letting someone that knows what they are doing fix your dent. they have a practiced technique and experience.

Hi Joe and jgibson,
The dealer said they have to take parts off the door, fix the dent, repaint, and reassemble the door. That's why it's expensive as they said. Also the dealer mentioned that they use air brush, but I don't think they have to paint the door at all. Door doesn't have any scratches at all and it looks shiny. I think they were trying to rip me off.
I'll call Dent Wizard and see how much they will call.

Thanks again!

The dealer will just take it to that body shop and take a little extra for themselves.

I think thats too much..doors and panels are easier to do since you dont need to protect the car or the interior...it would take them roughly 1( or 1.5 hours) hour to remove the door and the panelling, and then it's a paint job...so i would say 4 hours of labour plus whatever they charge to paint.

I got a quote to do the complete roof for 300Canadian..which is roughly 220ish...
you should go with what the guys suggested
