Has anyone had to replace their cat? If so, how did you know and what code would come on with the SES light. Thanks in advance.

 

i did just last week, i only knew when the ses light came on, no change in the driving style and it was code p0430 internal failure in catalyst converter they replaced bank 2 catalyst converter

 

Thats the same code I have but i have an 2k, and you have an 2k2. I wonder if the years and different engines matter. Anyone else have clue?

 

How much did they charge for the replacement CAT?

 

you can do it yourself. just some WD40 and good jack stands

 

all covered under warranty , so i don't know. but the first part rep;laced under codep0430 tube assy-exhaust was 621.57 just for the part, luckily it to is under warranty

 

I think I may be outta luck here. I don't exactly have what you would call a friendly relationship with the dealer. I am at a loss as to what to do. Do I replace the cat and/or tube assy-exhaust, or do I say screw it and put tape over the light?
