its just good to know that someone is actually willing to actually do some type of mods for the vq's, theres a million options for hondas and other, its just cool to see, that some companys still care about us a lil bit. granted not the best effort but at least theyre trying here, who knows what the future could hold. and ive seen civics in the 450hp range that can hold the power alright, not that that matters much, but fwd isnt totally dead yet

Same bore, larger stroke (just what trucks and SUV's need).

That hasn't been announced yet. Trucks just need more low end torque which does not specifically come from a longer stroke.

Look for the VQ40 to have a larger bore as well.

I'm positive that I read a link someone posted here on the .orgy that said it was just a stroked VQ35.

I'm not 100 sure why they would bore it as well. I figured it would be simpler to just keep the same bore as the VQ35 and then stroke that to whatever it takes to make it to 4.0L.

Ahhh, finally found the article that was linked...

It says it features a longer stroke but does not list any specifics or that the stroke is the only thing that is done. To stroke the VQ to 92.5mm simply wouldn't work unless the block had a raised block height. Otherwise it may not even fit and the rod ratios would be so terrible that the engine wouldn't last 50k miles. Besides, I see so much bad information posted on these so called news sites that I know better than to believe everything they say.

IMO the bore will be 97-99mm and a relative stroke to meet the near 4000cc requirments.
