I'm back guys!!! Put a deposit on an 03 Maxima today!!!

Hey guys, just wanna to say hello to the people who I don't know and to those who remember me from last year when I had the famous "mud max", 2000 se.

Anyhoo, sold my Grand Cherokee and just put a deposit on an 03 maxima. The JEEP was bad luck, had an accident with an animal, drunk driver, bricks (Following the winning of the guys bball this year), and many other things which never happened in the Maxima. Top that with high gas prices and slow 190hp Inline 6 cylinder engine and it wasn't my kinda car. Anyhow the details:

Black 2003 Nissan Maxima SE, 6-Speed of course, Bose Radio w/ RDS and Changer in unit, chrome door sills, cloth seats, power drivers seat, dimming mirror w/compass, and thats about it, it's got the chromier rims on it too...5995 miles right now...Picking it up on Tue/Wen and will definitely post about 100 pics. I'm staying out of the mud.

Any info on what needs to be done to the car as far as recalls and common TSB's to look out for. My factory warrentee is not valid but I have 1yr/10k from where I bought it from so if I could get a heads up. One observation though, the clutch on the 6speed seems alot higher than the one on my 00 5-speed. Cars so quick though, I'm scared of it...

Anyways glad to be back guys

How could you not have the factory warranty. It is passed on to the next owners, unless the car has been in an accident? I thought that you could have the next 10 owners have the warrant because its dependant on the miles and years?

ive never driven a 6spd max....how is it compared to the 5th gen?? my friend has a 5th gen se I really liked until i got my 03 se (even tho mines automagic). i rarely get to drive manuals, i only drive honduhs and my cousin's hyundai. my neighbor let me take his s4 (the older BETTER looking one) and the clutch was a dream! my sister might take over payments on this car and i might get something else so i'm considering possibilities.

compared to the 5 speed the clutch in the 6 is so soft and just perfect I love it honestly I was shifting gears in my sleep last night, since I don't pick up the car till Wen and I'm driving a Mazda 626 for now so all I can do is dream for the next few days....

To the person who remembers the garage incident, stop bringing back bad memories (but damn your memory is good that was in july 02)...anyways yes I was very tierd one morning and was going biking and was parking my car and entered a parking garage and messed up my roof rack, bike, roof, quarter panel, etc. (~1800.00 damage to Maxine which I never fixed) doesn't look too bad but well once I took the rack off i was gonna cry.....

and to Irish44, we'll go wheelin' sometime (jk no more of that in the new Maxima) but this is what a mudmax looks like and speaking of the jeep in back, tell the owner his car stinks had a grand cherokee like that and went mudding once and screwed up the abs sensors....in the maxima got the dirt out of the rims and she drove like a dream..... as far as the warentee, when a car gets a salvage title (stolen hids, airbags removed, and some other things) then the car is reported total loss and warentee is canceled...

Good luck with the new ride. I find myself shifting the buttery smooth 6-speed in my sleep too. lol The 3.5 will get you in plenty of trouble. ENJOY!

salvage title
I wouldn't buy a car with a salvage title. They are hard as heck to resell.

Yupp gonna be a soph. next year @ UConn...we're not allowed to park on campus until junior year so I had my Jeep parked in a dirt lot where it got super messed up, next fall though I found a way to get good parking so hopefully Maxine will be okay. As far as the salvage title goes, yah it's something certain people will avoid but my last Maxima had a salvage title and I sold it for decent money *quicker than I sold my JEEP with a clean title, but thats for the obvious reason that everyone and they're uncle has a jeep* and this Maxima also cost me 1/3 less than retail (if you want specific prices hit me up on aim or pm)....

PLUS, do you realize how NO one wants to get rid of a 6speed?

Polish plates *I'm Polish* but I need to hold off on putting them on because I just spent an entire day @ the DMV since state troopers are bored and pick on me, but it's okay when your 90, drive with no lights on, have brake lights out, hubcap hanging off, and drive @ night with panaromic sunglasses on....just my $0.02

Lol, yea, the no parking on campus thing sucks. My sister was in the new buildings for seniors. It had tons of parking, it would be cool if you knew someone who is going to be there if you could get them to get you the sticker or soemthing.

Hey, I’m glad you’re back, but your grammar hasn’t improved much. A warrantee is a person to whom a warranty is made. A warranty is a written guarantee on a product.

Well what I did for parking is get a job TA-ing for a class and just write massive amounts of letters to the Dean of Students telling them how good I am and how they are screwing me up by keeping me bottled up on campus....also registered for classes at a satellite campus that werent avail. @ storrs and told them i had no choice and had to either walk (20 miles) or they could let me park.

NJDevilsFan: Farmer Browns is good BUT ONLY if you have a jeep that you don't care about I can send you some pics of how messed up cars get there...I would never park a maxima there....also its 500/yr not 600....on top of that if your sister is considering paying that have her talk to me I know how to get parking on campus *near towers* for 60/semester on a real uconn lot...
