Stock Alarm

Has anyone had problems with their alarm going off for no reason? My car was in my garage last night and the alarm kept going off. There was noone/nothing in there I could find. Anyone had this happen before?

Actually yeah. The other day it went off twice for no apparent reason. Maybe my car has a sixth sense about danger

Your door, hood and trunk triggers could be malfunctioning. You can do a generic test by holding down the triggers one at a time and then arm the alarm. Remember to give about ~20sec to allow it to arm. Once armed, let go of the trigger and see if the alarm goes off. You can also do a visual inspection of the wires connected to the triggers and make sure they are not loose or exposed.

I was just wondering if all 2000 maximas have an alarm...I have the red light blinking on the dash....but after I lock the doors with the keyless & leave the windows open, and I reach in and unlock the door myself, the alarm does not go off....is it supposed to in that situation?
