Maxima vs SHO
My buddy has a 92 SHO 5 speed with 100,000 miles on it, and i want to race him. My SE only has 3500 miles on it so i am not sure if i will be able to take him yet. I want to race him from like 75 to 120. I got 2 more hp, but his engine is broken in, mine is still a baby. Thanks for the advice.

YES...it does still matter. 5sp are generally faster EVERYWHERE....at all speeds/rpm.
5sp's get more power to the ground. As he is running through 3rd you would be 3rd in an auto. The auto has a taller/harder gear than the 5sp. Thats strike one for it. Even if the ratio was the same the 5sp would get more of the power to the wheels as less is lost on the internals.
