I'm starting to feel like I overpaid for my Max
Don't get me wrong, I love the car. I paid almost exactly the BB recommended value for the car (though I know that's usually a LITTLE high), and I'm starting to see a bunch of deals on Maximas that are well below that. I thought that I had done my homework pretty well, too. Buyers remorse sucks, but at least I'm not disappointed with the ride.

If you did your homework don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes it can be hard to find the exact car you want and you end up having to pay a bit more because the supply is low. I do recall seeing a guy here recently who got screwed on the purchase of a new max, but it was clearly a bad buy.
Other people just get varying deals based upon supply in their area and how long they end up looking, and then desperation of the seller.
I got a good deal on my 00 max, but my 97 fully loaded SE which I bought two months ago with 77k I got for $6k out the door from a private seller. I've still yet to see anybody post as good a deal (probably somebody got one, but mine was phenomenal). I got it because I didn't really need a second car and I'd been looking for months. When I saw this one I checked it out and bought it the next day. Two owners, full documentation including all frequent oil changes from the start

I got my 02 in Feb 2002 and paid thru my butt (and STILL paying) but its been sooo worth it... low maintenance costs (I had a modded 97 VW Golf before)... smooth ride... kickass engine and transmission... can't complain at all.... if ya like the ride, its always worth it.

Atleast then you would know all the haps with your ride... I guess one of the only benefits of buying new. I got my 2k3 se new... since i had never bought a brand new car, i had to do it atleast once in my life. I know now that a 1 yr old used car is a much better thing.

I can not compare, I know my car, you dont know the situation on the one you see for sale in the paper or online. - it is enviable that there will be lower prices because as time goes by, the prices drop.
Answer - Don't think about it and if you want to think about it then view it long term. I bought my 2k1 SE for 16k I will use it 4 years (48 months) $200 a month is cheap a great deal for my car (probably any car). Any mod you make is for yourself, this will most likely not increase the value of the car. So $200 (made up monthly payment) x 48 months = 9600 (for usage of 4 yrs). After 4 years, the difference is $6,400. I will definately be able to sell it for $6400 anything more and I am ahead.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I bought my very first brand new car back on Feb 1st 03. My dilema was either buy it or wait on the 04's to come out, which I didn't really like the look of. No I look back and wonder what I would've done had I not be able to get my car. I probably would've opted for a G35. However, I don't regret and of it, I'm just glad that I wasn't upside down on my payments like it seems so may people are now days.

I had the same problem as yourself, but then realized nothing can be done about it and the best thing to do is to enjoy what you have and not to look at any other cars for sale. By the way, how many miles on your AE and how much did you pay for it?
