springs........

is there any ill effect on stock struts w/ tein h-tech lowering springs over the long run? i am planning to buy tein spring is the GD forum.....thx a lot

of course over time. the teins have a higher spring rate. the higher spring rate is what kills the stock struts/ shocks faster. i currently have stock struts/ shocks with the tein s-techs so far i have not had any problem. approx 7-8 thousand miles.

If you are paying a mechanic to change the springs, you might want to consider replacing the struts, too. Because you will have to pay labor each time if you do them separately. My stock struts only lasted about 10K miles when I put the Maxspeed springs on.
