sport vs luxury

I’m trying to decide whether I want to give my ‘01 GLE a sport look or luxury look…..I’m leaning toward the luxury look now.
Does anyone have an opinion on what modifications are the best to give it more of a “luxury” look?

I don't know what you mean by luxury or sporty look.

I say give it a sport look.

But if you really want the luxury look get:
1. Detata Luxury chrome rims
2. Wood kit all around interior
3. Tint
4. 2002-2003 HIDs

Sorry
I trying to decide whether I want to add horsepower and a body kit...etc. This is copied from an article from cars.com:
Getting the ‘Look’
But not everyone wants to only go fast. Looks are important, too. You can buy body kits — fender flares, skirts and trunk-mounted spoilers — for the exterior.

For luxury I was looking less at the motor and more at leather seats, new dash, smoother ride...

If you want a Maxima with a luxury look, that's easy to do: trade your maxima for a Infiniti I30 or I 35. The I30/35 IS a Maxima, except for its the luxury version!

Please please please don't put crap like fender flares, wild body kits, or big trunk spoilers on. From what it sounds like, the cars.com article was perfectly describing what we call "rice"

Why not go for a balance - make the interior more luxurious and make the engine/suspension more sporty. That's what most of the people on here do...

get your window tinted and perhaps sound proofing your interior for less noise.

I will soon. I need to take some pics (subframe connectors) under the car once I install Matt's lower tie-bar.

Luxury mods? LV headrests and door inserts? I am unfamilar with your luxury mods, if you wanted leather, how about buying a car with leather.

If you have a GLE go with luxury, SE go with sporty. That's just what I think. I'm going for the Luxury, no spoiler and some nice wheels. I think that the wheel choice is key to the look you want. They are what people are going to notice first and since there are so many different wheels out there, that's the hardest part.

Why not have both?

That is exactly what I am going for. Have a look at my site. I will try to update it early this week.

I guess you're SOL. j/k. I'd say sport b/c you can't really have luxury without some leather and all the goodies.

I have the GXE model. Mine looks stock from the outside but I going for the luxury looks inside. My ride is a compromise between luxury and sport.

FYI: I bought the GXE for the many reasons that I knew that I would modified the car later. IMO, it's a waste of money to upgrade to the SE/GLE options...then swapped out the suspensions components/wheels/interior stuffs later.

How about sport lux since it's NOT a sports car, and it's NOT a luxury car? That's what I'm going for...I think I'm doing ok so far.

That means stay away from most CF stuff like hoods/trunk, stay away from darker rims especially black, no big spoilers or bodykit. Lip kit *might* be ok. Definitely need leather, no racing seats. No brushed aluminum dash kit. No fast blinkers, and take it easy on all the superwhite (aka blue) bulbs.
