So I'm thinking about my first MAJOR mod. And I wanted to see what people would take care of first--speed, suspension, braking, or the look?? Thanks, guys!![SIZE=1]

I say suspension MODs. I have done lots of suspension mods and love them all. I say first and fore most get the coilovers that everyone is talking about.you might be able to get them for the same cost as springs and illuminas. Then strut tower brace then Rear sway bar and then lower tie bar. if you still have some doe left over get subframe connectors (stage one & two).

I've been following the D2 post. If those don't work out, how are the Tein Super Street coilovers??? They're obviously more money but definitely not as much as JICs...I can't afford those..

if i dont have a tracking number im not living fully...

you have to mod something or have some form of a project going on...otherwise you are sacrificing today for a better tomorrow and that philosophy tends to go in circles so you really die waiting for that tomorrow...

having said that, i dont think it is smart putting 5k towards the turbo all at once, but slowly buying stuff for it and planning your mods is good for maximum health

with 1500 dollars you can do suspension and exaust..
(unless you want to get coilovers for suspension. )

springs.. 170 for tein s tech
tockico illumina 475
rsb 140
fstb 50 bucks (custommaxima)
Total suspension = $ 835.00

exaust mods.. the rest

BERK system 125
y pipe (most) 300
b pipe = 200
stock muffler 0
total exaust 625

835 + 625 = 1460.00
40 bucks for gas...

Man sorry for the lecture..but believe me $1500.00 that's a lot of money to put on a car that someone can steal it from you. But what the he@@ it is your money. But before you do something like that, THINK about your future. You can save that money on money markets, stocks bonds and maybe raise a lot of money to buy the new MAxima CASH... I mean it is just my opinion....

I did system first( if this is your priority, at the time was mine), then I did intake, then next i did suspension, then i did mods to exhaust/headers.

I suggest you really think about your overall picture of what you want. If you want show, then of course a few more bucks for rims, u want a system? 1500 is a real good start (you can only go up from there, i sank near 5ish on mine)

Suspension is something u can do in it's entireity (minus that tie bar, i don't think it's a proven worthy mod yet, few people have it)

Headers with install will run you 900, then catback should run you 600ish+80 install (at most) u can do both of those.

I recommend this.

Intake, fstb, rsb, cattback exhaust, and you should have around 600 left over. Save that towards your springs/strut or coilover setup.

if 1500 is all u have saved up just for mods then dont do any mods keep saving money and worry about your financial needs, seriously, im dont spending money on my car just gonna maintain it the way it is cuase if u think about it its a waist i just bent almost all my rims cuase of these fcukin streets so i have to get them fixed now. im not gonna be smart about things and save up for a hosue after i have that then if i have spare cash ill put it into my car again.

Sheesh, u guys like giving guilt trips or something. Ignore 'em.

Buy a set of 18" HP EVOs for $1000 shipped with tires. Spend the rest on Tein S. Tech springs and KYB shocks/strust and your set. Your car now looks and handles much better and your still under $500.

Its your money, do what you want with it. We don't drive your car everyday, so why would you have us decide what you should do to it with your $1500. If it were my $1500, I'd do things to my car that I wanted, not because someone suggested it to me. Just my $.02
